Managing by Measurements

Scott Bierman, owner of Pro Mow Lawn Care, toured the students around his business and discussed their history, how he bought the business and their present growth strategy. This business handles 1,000 properties in a 60-mile radius and started from a business plan assignment from a former EIU student. 

Scott is very transparent with his employees and breaks his goals down into daily, weekly and monthly goals. He uses the color system on his board so employees can easily see their work productivity.

Networking at the Community Update Breakfast

Illinois Lieutenant Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti was the speaker at the Chambers" Community Update Breakfast. She is currently the highest ranking Latina in the history of the state of Illinois.

This was a great opportunity for the students to practice their networking skills because they were seated at different tables around the room.
