Adult Bible Class this Sunday
- In the sanctuary, we will continue Bible Information Class. This week's lesson is "The Sacraments - Lord's Supper".
- In the school commons we will be studying 1 Corinthians. Ancient Advice for a Modern World: Lesson 1 - What is True Wisdom?

Men's Leadership Bible Study

Malawi Kingdom Workers Presentation
During the bible class hour on November 19th Marilyn Miller will give a presentation of her trip to Malawi and the ministry that the Kingdom Workers are doing there.

Fun Fellowship
LYC is hosting the next Fun Fellowship event for Abiding Word! This is open to anyone and everyone, so grab a friend and join us! We will have a quick pizza lunch after church and then head downtown for this one-of-a-kind event. Find out more here:

What is Fun Fellowship?? It's a new activity where everyone is welcome and anyone can host an event. Just think of something fun to do like
going to a game, having a kickball tournament, seeing a play, whatever you think would be fun and contact the church office to publicize your event and get it on the church calendar. Don't feel like you have to host on your own, get your church group involved and host together. (ROC, LYC, Young Adults, Choir, SHINE, Church Council)

Thanksgiving Program
ECE is asking for a few volunteers to assist with their annual Thanksgiving Program. Thursday, November 16th @ 10:30 am ( program starts at 11)
- 3 volunteers for kitchen help
- 2 volunteers to greet parents and pass out bulletins
- 2 volunteers for playground duty

LWMS Door Offering
We will be collecting a door offering for LWMS next Sunday, November 12, to support home and world mission. We would usually have our mission assignments by now, but because the Fall Rally was cancelled we have not voted on them yet. We will let you know who Abiding Word is sponsoring soon.

Mornings with Mommy
The next "Mornings with Mommy" is on Friday, November 17 at 10:00 am. The theme is "Music and Instruments" and is $5/family to cover snacks and crafts.

Veterans' Day Celebration
Through the years God has used our military men and women to defend our great country. We will celebrate at Abiding Word on Veterans Day on
Wednesday November 8th to honor their solemn pledge to defend our freedom. Do you know any veterans who can join us? Whether they are friends, relatives, or neighbors please invite them to our commemoration so that we may honor them and provide our students with an opportunity to interact with them. All veterans, members, and friends are invited to join us!

New Sunday Evening Bible Study
"It is written, "I believed; therefore I have spoken.' With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak." (2 Corinthians 4:13) God has given us the gift of faith in his Son Jesus, our Savior. It is only natural that we speak about him. On Sunday November 5th at 5 pm we will begin a study on the Formula of Concord, one of the confessions of faith the Lutheran church has used to speak about our Savior. Join us as we review what we believe on the basis of God's Word and see how this confession speaks about it.

Mom's Anchored in Christ
(MAC) is a group of mom's that meet once a month for a bible study and bunco or an evening out. We will be going to "Escape in Time" in The Woodlands on Saturday, November 11 at 6:00 pm. If you are interested or want more information contact Candice Learman (760-644-4605).
