Pray for Us
If you have a prayer request, please email [email protected].
Dear School Families,

All Hallow's Eve, All Saints Day and All Souls Day have been wonderful celebrations of school, family and church traditions. The Spooktacular Carnival, hosted by Parent Teacher Guild (PTG) and managed by Mrs. Kathy Guzman and Mrs. Lisa Vela (Halloween Chairpersons), was a beautiful community building event for our students and parents.  I am so grateful for the time that our parents put in to make this event fun and enjoyable for all.  I would also like to extend a thank you to our teachers, staff and 8th graders who supported the event with their time.  The food trucks gave us that real carnival feel.  Food and fun makes for a perfect family event.

Yesterday at approximately 9:30 a.m. we issued a Shelter in Place as a result of air quality conditions from a nearby fire.  You should have received an automatic notification that the Shelter in Place was activated.  If you did not receive this automatic notification, please contact the school so we can make sure you are on the list.  If you receive a missed call from the school at any time, please check your voicemail message first before returning the call.  In an emergency, we need to keep the phone lines clear and we may not be able to answer timely.

Our 3rd graders led us in prayer to all the saints in heaven at the All Saints Day Mass.  Father Roberto demonstrated that the light of Christ must shine through us as we are called to live as saints.  We must be willing to say yes to Jesus and be like the saints.  The saints are examples to us of how we are called to love God and be kind to each other.

We are attaching a list of activities your family can do together to celebrate the saints during the month of November.  Send us your family photo of your completed activity.  We will share all the photos and activities on the bulletin board in the hallway.  We look forward to seeing how you share your faith with your family.

St. Dominic pray for us.
In Partnership,

Mrs. Fely Fajardo
Interim Principal

Faith Formation
Our students are connecting their faith with life.  Our prek students are learning that God gave them their eyes to see, their nose to smell and their hands to touch.  Our kindergartners are learning that God made each of them special and gave them their families, friends and all creation.  Our fourth graders are linking the holy days of obligation with celebrations at home and around the world.
