OUT OF THIS WORLD
When students in the HUNCH program at Clear Creek High School were first assigned to build a new dining table for the International Space Station (ISS), they knew it was a big job, but it wasn't until recently that they knew just how important and useful their completed project would be. On Thanksgiving, the six Expedition 50 crew members on the ISS gathered around the table together to share a meal of re-hydrated turkey, stuffing, potatoes and vegetables. Click here to see a video of the table from aboard the International Space Station.
SEABROOK FINE ARTS TOUR
The choir, orchestra, band and theater arts groups from Seabrook Intermediate take a tour of their elementary feeder schools each winter for a fun holiday concert program. Their efforts help generate interest in fine arts electives for elementary school students, especially the 5th graders who will soon be choosing courses for next school year.
SILVERADOS HELP TO GIVE CANCER THE BOOT
The Clear Springs  High School Silverados participated in MD Anderson Cancer Center's "Boot Walk to End Cancer ." The drill  team raised  more than $2,500 to support the cause.

STUDENTS GO INSIDE THE MIND
Students and staff at Clear Falls High School and Bayside Intermediate had the opportunity to explore the human brain in a unique way by walking through a giant inflatable replica. They learned about the roles of the various lobes and which diseases and conditions occur in the brain.  
COLORING THE STREETS
Sophomore Brandon Barnett from Clear Lake High School created an original art piece for Via Colori, a street painting festival in Houston hosted by The Center for Hearing and Speech. This two-day event helps raise money for children with hearing loss through more than 100 artistic collaborations.
HYDE FAMILY BUDDIES
Hyde Elementary paired up older and younger students to strengthen relationships across the building through fun activities and learning. The Hyde Family Buddies meet once a month to do activities such as reading, writing, practicing math skills and more.

CLEAR VIEW SERVICE LEARNING DAY
This year marked the third annual Service Learning Day at Clear View High School where volunteers from nearly 20 organizations from across the area came to speak with students and teach them about service opportunities right in their own backyard.  During breakout sessions, students even had the chance to participate by working on some of the service projects the organizations are a part of, such as  stuffing pillow cases for foster children with the Bay Area Alliance for Youth & Families.
