Have an Ethical Thanksgiving

Dear Ethical Consumer,

Now that the election is behind us, it’s time to get to work on strengthening the American middle class. There are steps that we can take to make a difference. We can #BuyBlue.

Demonstrate your American values of fairness, respect and equity by patronizing stores that value their employees this Thanksgiving. Be mindful about where and how you spend your money, and make your everyday purchasing decisions count by supporting businesses that sell union-made goods and services. Don’t shop at any of the stores that plan on staying open on November 24, and try to avoid purchasing anything made overseas. Now more than ever, America needs us to be ethical consumers.

In addition to investing in America and the middle class by exercising careful spending, we can show our gratitude towards our neighbors who work in retail by letting them know we have their backs. Sign our petition to let the CEOs of the big box stores know that workers should be home with their families on Thanksgiving.

If you’d like to get even more active, you can start an Ethical Consumer Movement team in your community. You can get a starter kit sent to you by shooting us an email at [email protected].

Think before you spend and remember – we’re all in this together.
