A one-dish meal, such as a can of soup, stew or chili, to help restock our St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry will be much appreciated.

Following both the 8:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Masses , come to Hecker Hall for our Epiphany celebration! Household blessing kits, children's crafts and cake will be available.

The Knights of Columbus will be holding their monthly Taco Breakfast on Epiphany, as well! Tacos will be for sale after the 7:30 and 8:45 a.m. Masses in Hecker Hall.
Thank you, Ms. Lucy!

Lucy Navarro, our Sunday Nursery Coordinator for over 15 years, has retired from St. Austin. We know that she has held a special place in the hearts of many of our young people and families over the years. Please join us in blessing Ms. Lucy at the 8:45 a.m. Mass on Sun., Jan. 8 and thanking her for her service to our community afterward in Hecker Hall.
Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible
An Engaging 8-part Bible Study for Adults

I f you would like to have a deeper relationship with God and a better understanding of your faith, then join us for Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible. This Bible study helps you uncover the salvation story woven through Scripture by getting the "big picture" of the Bible and discovering how our Catholic Faith is rooted in Scripture. You'll see how the Bible reveals God's loving plan for your life and learn helpful ways to put your faith into practice.

Sunday Mornings, Jan. 22-Apr. 2, at 10-11:15 a.m. in Paulist Hall

The study includes a series of eight informative and engaging half-hour video presentations by Jeff Cavins which will be followed by group discussion. Space is limited! Please visit the St. Austin website for registration info.
Remembering Those Whom We've Lost

In December St. Austin lost three parishioners who made a big impact on our community. We'd like to share the following information about them with you:

Mrs. Wilhelmina (Mina) Sponberg passed away on Dec. 9 at the age of 95 in Rowlett, TX. Mina and her husband Charles, who died  in 2002, joined St. Austin in 1947! Her family plans to celebrate her life with a Memorial Mass at St. Austin this spring.

Mr. Richard Bohan, a cantor and choir member at St. Austin for almost 20 years, passed away on Dec. 10 at the age of 55. St. Austin's community will celebrate a Memorial Mass for Richard at St. Austin on Mon., Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. A reception will follow in Hecker Hall.

Sandra Guardiola DeLeon, a parishioner since 1994, passed away at home on Dec. 12 after a short battle with cancer. Sandra's life will be celebrated here at St. Austin on Jan. 7 with a rosary at 1:30 p.m. and Funeral Mass at 2 p.m. A reception will follow at the UT Club.
