There is always a bittersweet impression with the end of one year and the beginning of a new one. We say goodbye to some of our greatest
achievements, or even our toughest
challenges, imprint them as memories of a day gone by, and turn our focus forward. We hope for health for our families and friends,
growth for our businesses and our community, new opportunities, and for this year to be better than the last. So, as we say hello to January, we cross our gloved fingers and breathe a puff of warm air into winter's chill, and make a silent entreaty.
Please be awesome.

Did you know that Highlands Elementary is Cedar Hill's dual language school, where native and non-native Spanish speaking students learn in English and Spanish? Hear about this, and many more of CHISD's programs that make its students successful at the annual State of the Schools Luncheon.

The rumors are TRUE! Cedar Hill is the best kept secret in the Metroplex. Take a moment and listen to why.

A letter from the 2017 Chair
Can you believe it is 2017 already? The start of this year promises new opportunity for you, your business, and for our Chamber. Your 2017 Board of Directors has targeted the direction of the Cedar Hill Chamber of Commerce at 3 core objectives for the coming year: Partnerships, Advocacy and Training:
- Collaborative partnership with the community
- Business Advocacy-businesses in the know
- Innovative Training—tools to grow your business, as well as growing young entrepreneurs
We stand on the shoulders of those who brought us here, and we are grateful for the solid foundation those community leaders before us built. I thank Mr. Warren Goss and the members of the 2016 Board of Directors for your leadership during a transitional year. 2016 was a year in which we saw the Chamber at the doorstep of being awarded Accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. We will finish that task by completing the requirements for Accreditation in 2017. When completed, we will be in the top 10% of Chambers of Commerce in the nation. This has been a multi-year process of evaluation. We will celebrate. This Chamber will be successful. YOU will want to stay connected and engaged. I have learned the value of my own personal membership grows in direct proportion to the effort I put in to it. Together we can make our businesses and community flourish. It’s about relationships. Our goal is for you to receive value as a member of the Cedar Hill Chamber of Commerce. We will be intentional in what we do, and good stewards of your investment. Thank you for being a part of this Chamber.
Amber Hatley Amber Hatley, Chair, 2017 Cedar Hill Chamber of Commerce
