CROSS COUNTRY STATE MEET QUALIFIERS

Today there was a send-off for our Panther Boys' Cross Country team and Lexie Pudloski, a member of our Girls' Cross Country team. Lexi and the boys will be heading to the State Cross Country meet at Hebron's National Trail Raceway this Saturday. Go Panthers!

ANNUAL THANKSGIVING MEAL DONATION
Each year our students gather food to provide a Thanksgiving meal through the Community Supper Program for those in need. Each class, preschool through grade 8, will participate in this service project by contributing a food item or monetary donation by Friday, November 17.
Preschool: 2 boxes of Jiffy muffin mix
Kindergarten: Mrs. Smith: 2 cans of corn
Kindergarten: Mrs. Gosser: 2 cans of green beans
1st grade Mrs. Kessler: 1 package of ready-to-serve dinner rolls

ADVERTISE ON "THE DEN" VIDEO SCOREBOARD
Partner with the Panthers and advertise this winter during the boys' basketball games on the area's only indoor video scoreboard! There are at least 12 home games on the court, during which your ad will be featured during pregame and halftime. Still ads run $275 for the season, and a 30-second video commercial is $325. EIGHTH GRADE POPCORN BALL SALE
Beginning on November 6, the 8th grade class is selling "Softball Sized Popcorn Balls" to help raise money for their trip to Washington, DC. They are $3 each or 2 for $5. Please see an 8th grade student if you would like to purchase one.
LIFE TEEN HOLIDAY CRAFT AND VENDOR SHOW
Sandusky Life Teen is hosting the "Holiday Extravaganza Craft and Vendor Show" on Saturday, November 4 at Holy Angels from 9:00am-3:00pm, featuring many local crafters and vendors. Admission is free, and there will be lunch available for purchase, as well as a bake sale, and a kids' fun station.
PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES
Middle and high school teachers will be available to meet with parents for conferences on Thursday, November 2, from 1:45-4:45pm and 5:30-7:30pm in The Kinzel Center. The conferences will be held in an open table format to provide parents flexibility for meeting with teachers.
Grades K-5 Parent/Teacher Conferences are held by appointment in classrooms. Letters were sent home to parents last week. Please enter at the Main Entrance, under the blue awning, in the Decatur Street parking lot.
REMINDER: IMPORTANT PARENT SURVEY
SCCS is beginning our accreditation plan for the Ohio Catholic School Accrediting Association. This is a six-year cycle in which every Catholic school in the State of Ohio is required to participate and involves seeking feedback from stakeholders, creating goals, and developing a plan of action to attain these goals. Parents, students, and teachers all have a part to play in this important process. As we begin seeking feedback, we are asking all families to
complete the survey by clicking here.
This data will provide us feedback on strengths and weaknesses in our academic and faith-based programs at SCCS. The survey consists of 50 multiple-choice questions and should take less than 15 minutes to complete. Please complete the survey by Thursday, November 2. Thank you in advance for your participation in this important process!
CHRISTMAS EVE CHILDREN'S CHOIR
There will be a Children's Choir for the 6:00pm Christmas Eve Mass at Sts. Peter and Paul Church. The Christmas Choir is open to students in grades 3-8. If you are interested in singing on Christmas Eve, the first rehearsal is Wednesday, November 8 at 6:00pm in the choir room at Sts. Peter and Paul Church. STS. PETER AND PAUL ALTAR SERVER TRAINING

WRESTLING PARENT MEETING
On Wednesday, November 8, there will be a meeting for parents of students in grades K through 12 interested in wrestling. The meeting will be held in the cafeteria from 6:00pm-7:00pm.
SWIM TEAM THANKSGIVING AMISH PIE SALE
The SCCS Junior High and SMCC High School Swim Teams are selling Amish pies to be delivered Tuesday, November 21. Pies may be picked up in the cafeteria from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. Please click here for an order form and return to the main office by Friday, November 10.
GIL KROMER MEMORIAL 5K
Saturday, November 11, the Teen Leadership Corps Class is hosting the 3rd annual Gil Kromer Memorial 5K Run/Walk at Osborn Park. Registration begins at 7:30am, with the 5K race at 9:00am and the Mile Fun Run at 10:00am. This race is in memory of Gil Kromer, a former SCCS student, who passed away unexpectedly in October of 2014. All proceeds benefit the Gilbert David Kromer Scholarship Fund, established at SCCS. 2 HOUR DELAY MORNING CARE
SCCS is offering morning care on November 14 for the 2 hour delay. Students may be dropped off beginning at 7:15am, and will be in the Multi-Purpose Room prior to the school start time of 9:40am. Due to State regulations and ratios, this service is only available to students in preschool through grade 5, and you must preregister by November 10. A form to register will be sent home with students in preschool through grade 5. There is no cost for this service.
DONUTS WITH DAD
Please join Mrs. Mohr's 4-year-old class, Mrs. West's and Mrs. Strauser's Cub classes, and grades K-5 for Donuts with Dad on Friday, November 17. Stop by anytime between 7:00am - 7:30am with your student in The Den. Mrs. Mohr's 3-year-old class event will be held on Thursday, November 16 in the classroom at 7:45am. If Dad is unable to attend, another adult is welcome. Hope to see you there!

FALL SPORTS BANQUET
Thursday, November 9 is the SMCC Fall Sports Banquet. Coaches, athletes, and families will be attending dinner in The Kinzel Center at 6:00pm. After dinner, individual fall sports teams will be recognized in breakout sessions for their accomplishments and commitment to the Panther tradition of excellence. Thank you to our meal sponsors: Jimmy John's, Arby's Huron, and Longhorn Steakhouse.
MUSIC BOOSTERS MEETING
The fall Music Boosters meeting is November 7 at 7:00pm in the band room. The Music Boosters provide financial and administrative support for students in both band and choir. It is a great way to get involved and meet new parents and families. All parents and guardians of band students in grades 5-12 and high school choir are invited to attend.
