The holiday season is a time to reflect on the past year, to celebrate the love of family and friends, and to look forward to the adventures of the year to come.  Here in Sequim, we are thankful for the opportunity to live in this beautiful, friendly, and caring small town where community is a frequently spoken word.  We enjoyed sharing our slice of heaven with visitors from all over the world in 2016, and hope you are able be one of them in 2017. Sequim 2016 Highlights
The USA Women's Olympic Rugby Team makes a surprise stop in Sequim on their way to a tournament in Victoria, B.C.  The team practiced for two days at the Albert Haller Playfields at Carrie Blake Community Park.

The Sequim Irrigation Festival float takes home the Grand Sweepstakes award at the Daffodil Festival and Exceptional Merit Award at Seattle's Seafair parade! What a great effort by volunteers to make this event happen each year for the past 121 years.

Another successful Lavender Weekend brings visitors from all over the world to enjoy the fragrant, purple blooms.
 
Many of the lavender farms are open throughout the summer and welcome guests to enjoy the beautiful fields.

Downtown Sequim has new restaurants and shops with more outdoor seating options.  With all of our sunny weather, diners can enjoy the outdoors most of the year.
Warm fall days made dining al fresco possible late into the year.


Art exhibit openings, tree lightings, and live performances rounded out the year for locals and visitors alike.
 
Guests to the Civic Center Tree Lighting enjoyed a live ballet performance.
