Creative Movement

Dear Dancers and Families,

Each week the dancers have "spots to sit" in a circle.
These are blue, foam rectangles. Today we used them as
a prop to help us with our brain dance!

This week's dance concept: over/under.
We used the boat in the large muscle room as a platform to
climb "over" and we made a tent shape with the floor mats to crawl
"under". We moved "over" in one segment of music and "under" on a
contrasting music segment.

We did a rhyming dance, but next week we will learn a dance
to music from the nutcracker.

We ended our class by practicing bowing and then clapping.
In ballet classes this is called "reverence."

Happy December!
