BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR CLOCKS BACK ONE HOUR THIS SATURDAY EVENING!!
WE DON'T WANT YOU TO BE TOO EARLY FOR CHURCH ON SUNDAY.

Daylight savings time ends in autumn fall with clock concept and text message on orange background.

Hot Breakfast
Breakfast this coming Sunday, November 5, will be provided by guest chefs, the Brotherhood of St. Andrew.
Please plan on joining everyone in Board Hall between 8:30am and 9:45 where you will not only enjoy great food but a time for fellowship.

All Saints' Day
On Saturday, November 4 and Sunday, November 5, we will be celebrating All Saints Day.

Youth Outreach
The youth of St. Luke's and the youth of Anchorage Presbyterian will do another scavenger hunt at Kroger to gather food for the families of Eastern Area Community Ministries.

We will meet at Anchorage Presbyterian Fellowship Hall on
Sunday, November 5 at 5pm to enjoy some cheesy pizza then head to Kroger Middletown.

We will return to AP to assemble the Thanksgiving baskets with food. The activity should conclude by 8am.

Winter Foyer Groups Sign Ups
Foyer Groups are groups of 6-8 (could be more) people that meet for a meal (at someone's home or at a restaurant). Every person (or couple) takes a turn arranging a meeting.  After the Winter meetings, new groups will begin in the Spring.

Besides having fun and getting to know each other, Foyer Groups offer an excellent opportunity to discuss where our church is now, where it is going and how we feel.   Of course, the groups have no assigned topics and people may just want to let the conversations ramble and flow, laugh and have a good time.

Sign-ups begin this weekend and will run through November 5 when sign-up sheets will be taken up.   Call Calvin Riley Pinney: 245 1623 or Caroline Eddleman: 253-0135 for information or questions.

An Invitation to Travel
with a group of your fellow parishioners on a Rhone River Cruise through Provence next October.

Please join your tour hosts, Art and Judy Chard this Tuesday, November 7, in Board Hall from 7 - 8 pm to learn about the trip.

If you are interested but cannot attend you may contact them at 502-550-1584 or [email protected]
or see Judy in person.

Thanksgiving Turkeys for EACM
The Youth will be collecting Kroger gift cards to purchase Thanksgiving turkeys for EACM through November 13 for families to purchase turkeys.

There will be baskets located in both narthex's for gift cards and/or contributions. Other items may be donated ( click here to see the flyer).

Many thanks for your help!

St. Luke's Book Club
YOU ARE INVITED to St Luke's Book Club! Our book selection for November is Camino Island by John Grisham. Camino Island is a crime fiction thriller novel and is a departure from Grisham's main subject of legal thrillers and focuses on stolen rare books.

MEETING INFO: Lyman House, November 14th, SECOND (2nd) Tuesday monthly at 6:30 PM for 2+- hours of rousing conversations and introductions to books of almost every genre.

At the end of each meeting, we discuss books for the next month's selection, so bring your suggestions with you.

Free Coat Exchange
This is our 8th year participating in the Free Coat Exchange Program in Louisville. We are collecting used, good condition coats, hats and scarves.  The collection box is located in the church back entrance near Board Hall.

Please check your closets for donations that can be given away free on the Friday after Thanksgiving. We will be collecting right up to Thanksgiving Day.

These wonderful garments will be given away to needy families in various downtown Louisville locations. Thank you very much from St. Luke's Brotherhood of St. Andrew.

Christmas Memorials
This year we will continue our tradition of decorating the church for Christmas with memorial poinsettias and large wreaths, as well as memorializing loved ones through contributions for special Christmas music.

Special envelopes will be available NEXT WEEKEND for either poinsettia, wreath, or music.
