Hello colleagues,
Congratulations to NPR for highlighting greenroofs in a fantastic video entitled Do Cities Need More Green Roofs? - the simple answer is: Yes They Do! Don't miss this awesome 3:49 video showcasing their multiple environmental and economic benefits regarding stormwater, energy savings, and wildlife enhancement. Filmed in New York City, it features the Javits Convention Center, the largest greenroof in NYC, and Stuart Gaffin, Climate Research Scientist at Columbia University.
Two fantastic Upcoming Events in August are Boston GreenFest on August 11-13, 2017 & StormCon in Bellevue, Washington on August 27-31. Organized by the Foundation for a Green Future, Boston GreenFest is celebrating their 10th anniversary and once again promises to be awesome. Along with its dedicated team of community volunteers, we hope you'll partake in the free three-day festival at Boston City Hall Plaza as it's transformed into a fun, interactive community classroom with music, dance & more.
StormCon has the U.S.'s the most comprehensive stormwater educational curriculum available anywhere. Its program tracks include: Best Management Practices, Green Infrastructure, Stormwater Management, Water-Quality, Advanced Research Topics, and Industrial Stormwater.
