Get Ready for Display Week in Los Angeles

California is the place to be for the display industry, so we're holding Display Week in the Golden State again -- this year in Los Angeles! With its booming tech start-up scene, its entertainment industry, and its enviable weather, LA is the perfect location for our show. But why tell you when we can show you? Check out this video from Display Week 2016 in San Francisco to see how well the show went for exhibitors, and how momentum is building for Display Week 2017.

Not only do we have a great venue this year, we have some excellent programs for our exhibitors. Check them out below. These are only the beginning -- over the next several months, we'll let you know about many more programs and opportunities.

New Product Showcase Takes Off

Last year's inaugural New Product Showcase was a great success. We have now relocated it from the rear of the exhibit hall, where it was in 2016, to the front, right side of the entrance. This location will make it convenient for all show attendees and members of the press to preview the latest and most innovative products and services from more than 200 exhibitors.

Each exhibitor may place up to three new products (the first one is free; the second two are subject to a nominal fee) in the showcase. Make sure show visitors see your most exciting technology before they start walking the show floor! Registration for the showcase will be available soon. If you have questions, contact [email protected].

Sponsorships and Branding

You've already made an excellent choice by deciding to exhibit at Display Week 2017, the premier global event for the display industry. Do you know that a sponsorship enhances your brand and makes your exhibit dollars go even farther for you? Everyone -- attendees, fellow exhibitors, presenters -- notices sponsorships like floor decals, escalator signs, and column wraps. We have sponsorships in all sizes, from tote-bag inserts to event sponsorships
and more.

Still available is one of the most prestigious sponsorships we offer -- Display Week's Special Networking Event. This Wednesday night get-together is the primary social gathering of the show. The special events are talked about for years, and your company could be a part of those memories! Two potential venues for this year are the Lucky Strike Bowling Cafe and the Grammy Museum.
Last year's Special Networking Event took place at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco.

To find out more about the Special Networking Event and dozens of other sponsorship opportunities, download our sponsorship and branding brochure or contact Jim or Sue.

DIAs Have New Deadlines

The Display Industry Awards are the display industry's most prestigious honor, given annually since 1995 by the Society for Information Display to recognize the best display products or applications of the year. SID's Display Industry Awards Committee recently extended the submission deadlines to make it easier for you to nominate your company's coolest, most recent products.

All 2017 DIA product submissions must be introduced to the market (via press release or web site announcement) between January 1, 2016, and December 31, 2016, and be commercially available before February 28, 2017. Nominations must be submitted by January 15, 2017.

Reserve Housing Now

Visit the Display Week housing page now to get the best selection on rooms at the show. Please be aware that Par Avion is the only official housing bureau for Display Week 2017. Reservations made through any other housing services company will not be guaranteed by SID and could result in hidden charges, unusual restrictions, loss of deposits, fraud, or incorrect hotel placement for Display Week attendees.

Exhibitors' Forum Deadline is March 24

The Display Week 2017 Exhibition will once again include an exhibitors' forum, with scheduled presentations by Display Week 2017 exhibitors. This forum provides exhibitors with greater exposure to attendees who are interested in learning more about a company's products and services in a presentation setting.

These 15-minute presentations (including Q&A) are designed by exhibitors, though we suggest that you include the technical content that attendees come to Display Week to discover. The deadline for this opportunity, which comes at no additional charge to exhibitors, is March 24, 2017. For information about submitting your forum materials, visit the Exhibitors' Forum page.
