Unplug to Recharge in the Wilderness
An Ozark river can quickly break the kids addiction to electronic devices.
For five days over the Fourth of July, nine kids all 12 and under floated rivers, swam in creeks, caught crawfish and minnows, jumped off bluffs, listened to the midnight call of the whippoorwills, snorkeled, went fishing, explored, made s'mores and never touched an electronic device once.

Certified Wildlife Habitat ®
Recognize your commitment to wildlife and certify your yard, balcony container garden, schoolyard, work landscape or roadside greenspace into a Certified Wildlife Hab itat®.

By creating a natural garden with native plants, you are providing essential elements of wildlife habitat: food, water, cover and a place for wildlife to raise their young. Add a water source - such as a birdbath - and your garden will not only be wildlife-friendly, but it will qualify as a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat®.

In  addition, a portion of your processing fee supports the Conservation Federation of Missouri and National Wildlife Federation's programs to inspire others to make a difference.

Print your Certified Wildlife Habitat® application HERE.  Visit nwf.org/garden to certify today!

Conservation Leadership Corps
Stream  Team Clean Up

CLC students, alumni and staff after the CLC Stream Team Clean Up Float.

On July 21st CFM's Conservation Leadership Corps (CLC) students did a stream team clean up float on the Current River. On Thursday they camped at Round Springs campground and on Friday they floated from Pulltite to Round Springs. This is a beautiful stretch of river that was good for some of the first time floaters. They had fun picking up trash, exploring the springs and caves, and swimming in the river. It was a great opportunity for them to connect with fellow CLC students while doing a volunteer activity.  Thank you to all the students that volunteered their time. We look forward to next year's trip. To learn more about the CLC, visit www.confedmo.org/clc
