Join the Kombolcha Mission Team
March 9-19, 2018
children's open arms
Dear HillSong Family,
Our plans for a mission trip to our CarePoints in Kombolcha, Ethiopia have been finalized! We invite you to join the team that will be going to Kombolcha from March 9-19, 2018 !
Once we are in Kombolcha we will spend time with the 275 children in our sponsorship programs at Grace Baptist Church (CHDA) and Meserete Church. Our mission is - to continue building relationships with the children/teens so they know they are cared for and loved not only by us, but by God. We will spend 5 days with the children at our care point. We will shower them with love, spend time with them, play games, share care packages and letters from their sponsor families. On our last day we will have a feast with the children and staff.
If you have ever considered going on a mission trip or visiting your sponsor child, this is the time. Please prayerfully consider joining us or help with preparations!
Blessings,
Pastor Rob & Candy Tennant
Living the Faith - from Pastor Rob
Church front
Lead a life worthy of your calling ... [a life marked by] humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace ; from Ephesians 4:1-3.
Our church has spent several weeks in Ephesians during the Sunday morning sermons. We're finally to chapter 4. It encourages me to be able to say, from my vantage point as senior pastor, that I have seen our church family embody the life depicted in these opening verses of the 4 th chapter.
"A life worthy of your calling;" pastors and professional clergy are thought to be called by God like prophets of old. But, I have seen lay members in our church family live out just as strongly this sense that God has given them purpose in their lives and they are as compelled as any pastor to live into that purpose.
