Sheriff Lewis Recognized by the Daughters of the American Revolution

Sheriff Scott A. Lewis was recently recognized by the Daughters of the American Revolution for his efforts to encourage the preservation of the abandon Pittman cemetery in Cottleville. The City of Cottleville partnered with Lombardo Homes to preserve the Pitman Cemetery located in the new Legacy of Patriots Pointe subdivision at 6320 Highway N. The decorative cemetery gate, fencing, walkway access, and parking are under construction.  Sheriff Lewis stated he would also like to give a special thanks to City Administrator Rich Francis for seeing his recommendations thru. The Daughters of the American Revolution are  planning an initial cemetery clean up and tombstone repair, however, the City plans to ensure proper care of the cemetery going forward through the HOA agreements.  DAR who does cemetery cleanup and care is accepting donations.

The new "Poured-In-Play" surface will all be expanded to include the swing area of the playground as well. Please be patient with construction crews and stay off the playground during this time. Tri-City Food Drive-
City of Cottleville Reigning Champs!
The 8th Annual Tri-City Holiday Food Drive is currently underway and will end on January 5, 2018.  This is the eighth year that Weldon Spring, Dardenne Prairie, and Cottleville have teamed up in a friendly competition to collect non-perishable food items, toiletries and money to donate to Sts. Joachim & Ann Care Service.  Sts. Joachim & Ann is the largest social services provider for individuals, families, and children in the Tri-County area of St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties.  If you would like to make a monetary donation, please make checks payable to "Sts. Joachim & Ann Care Service".
Cottleville donations may be dropped off at Cottleville City Hall Lobby Monday - Friday, 9-5pm.

We will once again also be collecting for our four-legged friends with donations going to "Five Acres Animal Shelter" formerly known as the St. Charles Humane Society.  This is the only "No Kill" shelter in St. Charles County and relies on private donations in order to operate.  They can use Purina Dog and Puppy food as well as Kitten Chow.  New and gently used towels, blankets, pet beds, collars, leashes, bleach, paper towels, and trash bags are also welcomed items as well as gift cards to PetCo or PetsMart.  As with the food drive, monetary donations are gladly accepted and checks should be made payable to "Five Acres Animal Shelter".

Please consider donating to one or both of these worthy causes during this holiday season.  Let's go Team Cottleville!
