Service Opportunity for your Family Your child's teacher will be sending more information home about a new and exciting service project that each classroom is participating in this year. We would also like to open up that opportunity to every family in our school. Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan's Purse. It is one way that you can make a difference in a child's life. A simple gift of a shoebox filled with small gifts can be a very powerful demonstration of love to a child. Filled with school supplies, toys, and personal items that are packed by caring people like you, these boxes are used to help introduce children to Jesus Christ. What a unique mission project for you and your family to participate in! As you pack a shoebox, please pray for the child that will receive it. Your small gift will be used to touch a child's heart! An informational brochure with all the information that you need to pack a shoebox was sent home with the youngest child in each family on Monday. Please return your shoebox to the box in the rotunda no later than Wednesday, November 15. If you have any questions, please see Julie Van Oordt (2nd grade teacher). Thank you for your participation in this exciting service opportunity!

An ACS Girls Volleyball Clinic for 4th - 6th grade girls will be held on November 7 and 14.  Girls, please bring your mom, aunt or older sister along with you to this clinic.  If you don't have anyone available, please let us know when you register and we will have someone there for you!

Also, new this year, the teachers at ACS had the opportunity to create an Amazon Wish List for their classrooms. If you would like to purchase something for your child's classroom this is a great way to shop!  Please email Heather Kline at jhpkline@allcom.net if you would like a "Favorite Things" survey or Amazon Wish list link emailed to you!
