increase endurance.

Come on in and enjoy the ride!

A little bit about Candace...
Candace has two passions, teaching and fitness. She is Mad Dogg spin certified and is a certified Personal Trainer through the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM). She earned her B.S. in Elementary Education and her M.S. in Special Education, both from Boston College.

Candace began teaching Spinning 2 years ago and loved it! She makes every class new, fun and most importantly challenging. "We are clipped in for 45 minutes," Candace says, "and I focus on bringing the inner athlete out in every single person who rides with me. My favorite saying is 'get comfortable with being uncomfortable'." Candace believes that's where change and pride ultimately exist. Her music choices span the decades, with new playlists each week.

What our Members and Staff Have Been Doing...

IRONMAN Maryland
October 7th, 2017

Congratulations Holly Goodman!

Holly Goodman, one of our spin instructors, competed in and finished IRONMAN Maryland.

IRONMAN Maryland - also known as Chesapeakeman - begins with a 2.4-mile swim in the Choptank River on the Delmarva Peninsula, followed by a 112-mile bike course in Dorchester County, taking the athletes through the  Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. The race finishes with a 26.2-mile run on flat and fast country roads.

IM Maryland in itself is a test of strength and endurance. What makes Holly's performance in this event so impressive is that she finished in 11:23:03, placing 6th out of 32 in her age group, 34th out of 298 women, and 171st out of 1015 participants. All this after coming off a major injury just 9 weeks prior to the race.

You, Holly Goodman, are an IRON(WO)MAN!
