South Tahoe bike share pilot, by the numbers
South Tahoe bike share pilot program

This summer, the League to Save Lake Tahoe collaborated with California-based LimeBike to bring a bike share pilot to South Tahoe. Our goal was to test bike share as a means of reducing car trips. Pollution associated with driving cars degrades Lake Tahoe's clarity.

So, how did it go?

Successful night of spooky stormwater education
More than 90 community members joined us at Sidellis Lake Tahoe on October 12 for a night of fun games and education about stormwater pollution, the number one threat to Tahoe's clarity. (Yes, folks, the threat is real and the potential impacts spooky.) Thanks to all our partners and everyone who joined us.

Sold out premiere of _Drop Everything_
The League's associate board hosted the wildly successful San Francisco premiere of Matchstick Productions'newest ski movie, "Drop Everything," on October 25. Thanks to their hard work, everyone had a fun night and the League now has 350 new members (a basic Keep Tahoe Blue membership was included in the cost of every ticket.) All ticket sales went directly to supporting the League's programs to protect Lake Tahoe.
