From Mrs. Rowley
Today we celebrated the feast of All Saints by attending Mass and welcoming our 2nd grade saints. Each student represented their favorite saint and gave some facts about that particular saint. We were reminded that we are all saints in the making!
Our annual coat drive has been extended by a week! We are collecting gently used or new winter outer-wear for the needy in our community. Collection boxes are in the school lobby until November 10. Thank you for your support.
Thank you to all who joined us on Friday evening for our third annual "Trunk or Treat." We had a great turn-out - 28 cars! Congratulations to the Sloma-Williams family (aka Mr. and Mrs. Noah, giraffe and unicorn) for winning the prize for best decorated car, and to all of our winners. A big "thank you" to the PTO, especially Mrs. Jen Charest, for such a wonderful evening.
Many of our students also got to enjoy a very special evening of trick-or-treating at the White House on Monday. What an honor to be one of only 20 schools in the DC area that were invited! A great time was had by all.
Our November book fair will be held from 2nd-7th, with a family event on Sunday, November 5 from 9:00 am-1:30 pm in the school library. Please join us!
Have a blessed week.

Three Kings Gift Shop Donations
Please consider helping us continue a great St. Ambrose School tradition -The Three Kings Gift Shop! The Three Kings Shop tradition is a Christmas shopping opportunity for our students. We stock the store with re-gifted items donated by our community that we sell for $1 or $2. All proceeds go directly to the school. The kids love it because they get to do their own shopping for their families with the help of our volunteer elves.
We are gladly accepting donations to stock our store!
Please take a look through your closets, drawers, attics, and garages and see if you have items in VERY GOOD condition to donate to our shop. We could use gifts for moms, dads, children, teenagers, and grandparents. Things like jewelry, toys, games, stuffed animals, ties, gadgets, mugs, books, religious items, knick-knacks, and any item you might want to receive or give as a gift. No large gifts as the children must be able to carry the items home. We also need gift wrapping supplies, gift boxes, jewelry boxes, tape, and sturdy shopping bags.
All donated items can be dropped off at the school office before December 8th. We appreciate your support! For questions please contact Maryellen DeWolfe at
sdewolfe@earthlink.net

Fourth Annual Coat Drive
COAT DRIVE EXTENDED ONE MORE WEEK! Thank you to all who have donated such great winter wear items! Most of the items donated were clean and in near perfect condition; some of you went out and purchased brand new items for which we are most thankful. We truly appreciated your bringing in such nice items. The donations which were ready to go, some 8 garbage size bagfuls, were taken to St. Theresa in Ashburn for their Bountiful Harvest program last weekend for those in need. The staff at St. Theresa was thrilled to receive. While Loudoun County is considered a very wealthy area, there are many areas with true poverty, so these donations will help so many people. For the remaining donations, we will be identifying another parish which has parishioners or neighbors who could use some warm clothing. Please get your donations in by
Tuesday, November 7th. God bless!
