CPL Andrew Aimesbury Memorial Scholarship Fund - Annual Birthday Dinner Fundraiser

In honor of Andrew's 23nd birthday, his family is hosting a fundraiser dinner to benefit Dover Adult Learning Center of Strafford County. Aimesbury was killed during a military training accident December 09, 2015, serving his country and doing what he loved. Andrew accomplished so much in his 21 years. He was a great leader and everyone he met learned something from him. He loved kind people, protected those that were mistreated and always encouraged his family and friends to be their best.
Tickets are $8 Adults, $4 Children 3-12 years old, free for children under three and $5 for veterans/active duty military, and free for on duty police and fire.
All proceeds will go directly to the Corporal Andrew Aimesbury Memorial Scholarship Fund. If unable to attend, please consider making a donation.

Serving Their Country at the Wentworth House
Saturday, November 11th, 10am-4pm
Water Street, Rollinsford
In honor of American veterans, past and present, the Colonel Paul Wentworth House will host Serving Their Country, a day-long living history tribute to American soldiers on Veterans Day, Saturday, November 11. Visit the Wentworth House for a day of displays and living-history demonstrations illustrating the lives and stories of America's citizen-soldiers from the colonial era through modern times. Historical reenactors with carefully researched and period-accurate uniforms and equipment will portray soldiers from the colonial and Revolutionary eras, the Civil War, World War I and World War II. The event will run from 10 am to 4 pm at the Wentworth House on Water Street in Rollinsford. Admission is $5 for the general public; free for veterans and active duty personnel, children, and ARCH members.

Join Community Action Partnership of Strafford County (CAPSC), the county's leading anti-poverty agency, for their 4th Annual Lip Sync Battle. This family-friendly battle royale draws a large crowd each year, and this year promises to be even more fun, action-packed, and memorable. There will be raffles, prizes in multiple categories, and some serious local talent, including the emcee, Jadd from Z107, and a panel of celebrity judges. All proceeds raise awareness of, and funding for, vital programs that help CAPSC reduce the impact of poverty and build a stronger community. Go to

Join Dover Adult Learning Center and Art Night Out for two fantastic jewelry classes! In "Stone Charm Bracelet", using pre-drilled stones, you will learn wire-wrapping techniques to add components and decorative embellishments to an adjustable bracelet (sterling silver over brass). $60 workshop fee includes all materials to make one silver bracelet; Monday, December 4, 6:00-8:00pm. In "Riveted Luggage Tags/Purse Charms", you will hammer, rivet, and personalize leather pieces to create one of a kind charms or tags for your purse or luggage.
