Potash Honored with CSU's Distinguished Alumni Award
In addition to earning induction into C|M|LAW's Hall of Fame, OverDrive President and CEO Steven Potash '78 was recently honored by Cleveland State University and Cleveland-Marshall College of Law as a recipient of the University's Distinguished Alumni Award.

C|M|LAW's recently announced  Global Space Law Center  has received substantial local and national media coverage from outlets including Crain's Cleveland Business , Cleveland.com , Space Daily, WVIZ Ideastream  and the National Law Journal .

Educator-in-Residence Katz Featured by Crain's
Educator-in-Residence Howard Katz was featured by Crain's Cleveland Business in its weekly "Source Lunch" Q-&-A column with influential local figures.  

C|M|LAW Alumni Profiled by Crain's on Launch of B outique Firm 
Former assistant U.S. attorneys and C|M|LAW alumni Paul Flannery '07 and Christos Georgalis '05 were profiled by Crain's Cleveland as they launch Flannery | Georgalis LLC, a boutique firm specializing in complex white-collar criminal defense and corporate investigations.

C|M|LAW Alumnus and Tucker Ellis Partner Carter E. Strang '84 was awarded with the CMBA's Green Sustainability Award.

C|M|LAW's Center for Cybersecurity and Privacy Protection blog, Achieving Cybersecurity, has been nominated as a best education and law school blog by The Expert Institute for the second consecutive year. 

Professor and Associate Dean Milena Sterio was a guest on  BBC News  World Service to discuss Catalonia and its quest for independence. Sterio also participated in an episode of WCPN/90.3's "Talking Foreign Policy," focused on corporate liability for aiding and abetting in human rights violations.

Dean Emeritus Steven Steinglass wrote an op-ed for C leveland.com  on why Ohio's recent effort to update its constitution fell short.

Professor Chris Sagers was quoted by Publishers Weekly on a New York State Supreme Court ruling on Milo Yiannopoulos' lawsuit against Simon & Schuster and was quoted by VIN News Service on the merger of the nation's largest veterinary practice owners, Mars Inc. and VCA Inc.

Professor Brian Ray was interviewed by WalletHub.com, one of the leading outlets covering the personal finance industry, on the "States Most Vulnerable to Identity Theft & Fraud." 

C|M|LAW Hosted DACA Forum
Earlier this month, C|M|LAW and CSU hosted an esteemed collection of academic and legal experts to discuss the legal and practical implications of  Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals . Topics included the policy's origins, its current status and the practical implications for immigrants.

The Office of Career Planning hosted hiring attorneys  S onali WilsonGeneral Counsel, Cleveland State University, Bethanie MurrayPartner, Reminger Lynne Buck, Civil Division, U.S. Attorney's Office, and  Keith Weiner '82, Keith Weiner & Associates to educate students on what will make them stand out when pursuing employment.

Prof. Sterio Wins CSU Homecoming 5K
As part of Homecoming celebration, C|M|LAW participated in CSU's 5K race on and around campus.  Professor and Associate Dean Milena  Sterio won the race with a course record time of 19:36.

C|M|LAW hosted its annual Summer Ride, a motorcycle ride for law school faculty and alumni. This year's ride featured the added bonus of a boat ride and lake house visit with Dean Lee Fisher.
