Client of the Month
Casey Connar
DUFF is so excited to announce that our December
Client of the Month is "Connar" aka Casey Connar.

DUFF: What do you do
for a living?
Connar: I'm an airline pilot for United Express Airlines.

DUFF: How long have you been training at DUFF?
Connar: I joined DUFF about a 1 year ago. Since joining
I've made major improvements...TWICE. Back in the spring, I was really seeing major gains right up until a bike accident...

DUFF: What are some of your strengths?
Connar:  I'm pretty competitive, I like the team challenges at DUFF. My strength is anything upper body or core.
DUFF:  Have you had any set backs?
Connar: ...a bike accident crushed my right elbow requiring surgery and metal reconstruction. I was frustrated, and demoralized by the injury that was putting my training goals and career aspirations on the sideline.
I'm an airline pilot for United Express Airlines. Like the gym,
(and muscles)  flying is a somewhat perishable skill and a large
part of who  I am, so being stuck on the couch was awful.

DUFF: What are you least favorite exercises?
Connar:  My least favorite exercises are lunges and squats.

DUFF:  What is your favorite thing about DUFF?
Conna r:   During my 5 month recovery/ rehabilitation, I periodically stopped by the gym to update Andrew. He showed genuine concern and encouragement, and as soon as my therapist cleared me for more strenuous movement, I was back at the gym. All DUFF instructors have been great at both pushing and modifying exercises that set me up for success! Despite my challenging work schedule and sometimes unavoidable eating choices I.e. Airports and Hotels, I'm coming back better than ever! My weights are increasing, I almost always complete the challenge, and my workout modifications and the words "I can't" are fewer and farther between!

DUFF:  What do you like to do outside of the gym?
Connar:  Beyond the gym and work, I have a beautiful wife and handsome black lab named Briar (some of you may have met). I'm an avid outdoorsmen. I enjoy competitive dog retriever training and duck hunting with Briar,
college football - GO BUCKEYES, and being a DUFF GYM RAT
when I'm  not in the sky!

We at DUFF are so proud of you Connar and would like to dedicate the month of December to you!
Please join us for a special class  on
Saturday, December 10th
to celebrate our

Casey Connar!
