Ice Safety Training Course with Highlands Wilderness Training Institute

This course is for individuals or small groups that are required to work or choose to play on bodies of ice covered water. The working on ice program has been created with the emphasis on assessment and “being safe” while working around, or on frozen bodies of water. The goal of the course is to give people practical assessment and decision making skills to determine safe versus non-safe ice coverings.

• Half Day In Classroom at West Guilford Community Centre
• Half Day Outside On Local Ice Surface in West Guilford
• Required Equipment: Drysuit, Floater Suit, Survival Suit, or Thick (5mm+) Wetsuit PFD
