Welcome to The Family!
Pastor Ulysses Stephen King, Jr., Mrs. Tiffany, and the Memorial Tabernacle Family welcome you to the family. We invite you to become a member of a family of believers God is using to "reach to teach, teach to change" one person and one block at a time. Notes From Sunday's Sermon
"WE ARE THE CHURCH" (
Romans 15:1; 16:5)
Speaker: ELDER MRS. JEANETTE WORTZ
We are the church! And it has nothing to do with the building. The church is about "community and relationships." It's not about titles or positions, but the gathering of the "least of these," that is, people who desire to seek God.
Paul wrote to the church at Rome that the "strong ought to bear the scruples of the weak." In other words, the Church must be equipped to take the burd
ens and weaknesses of their brothers and sisters upon themselves, and act as if it were our own. You do not have to go church to be in the Church. The Church is wherever you are.
The Church is built upon people that have strong personalities. There is no perfect church, but we are the Church being perfected. Therefore we're going to have to learn how to bear one another; be patient with one another; and love one another.
The Church is the "called out ones" (the assembly), the people of God. We are not all alike. We do not all think the same way. We disagree and have different opinions. But like any family, we learn how to get along, nurture, love, and encourage one another, and to build one another up. What we have to realize is when the body comes together it is not about us, individually. It is ALL about Jesus, and about us as fellow-believers who have come together to reach and win the lost to Christ.
Our final and ultimate goal, as the Church, is to one day see Jesus and meet Him in the sky. We will be caught up to meet Him! The Church is being perfected and getting ready to go back with Him when He comes! Hallelujah! What a glorious Day! -- USK
Because of Christ,
Pastor Ulysses Stephen King, Jr.
