Westland City Council Approves $4.2 Million Parkside Credit Union Expansion

Westland, MI - On December 19 at the Westland City Council meeting, the council approved an upcoming expansion of Parkside Credit Union, located at 1747 S. Newburgh Rd.

Parkside Credit Union will complete an addition of 7,643 square feet, resulting in a 2-story building with a total of 15,291 square feet.

"The primary purpose of the addition is to continue to improve the financial well-being of our members and the communities we serve," commented Janet Thompson, President and CEO of Parkside Credit Union.

The addition will allow Parkside to establish their Westland location as their main office.  The location will house 40 members of their administrative staff that are currently scattered across various locations.  The total estimated value of the addition is approximately $4.2 million.  The branch will also be renovated with new technologies and service levels.

"We are excited to see such a large investment in Parkside Credit Union's Westland location and look forward to serving as their main hub for business operations," commented Mayor Wild.
