CERVICAL FACET INJECTION STUDY
Dr. Bodor and his team have successfully completed their investigation into the accuracy of ultrasound-guidance when delivering biologic agents into cervical facet joints. For the millions of people suffering from chronic neck pain, this new technique avoids the use of radiation and contrast dyes resulting in a more effective, less painful procedure.

In a contribution to Muscle & Nerve, Dr. Bodor presented an important correlation between the use of ultrasound guidance for botulinum toxin (Botox)  injections and the ability to decrease the amount of toxin and number of injections needed per patient. Further study could show potential savings of $400 million annually.

A success story for Sever's Disease

Earlier this year, one of our staff was listening to a friend lament over the helplessness she was experiencing in finding help for her daughter. Lauren* was 9 years old, spending her childhood in and out of cast boots and wheelchairs. Her mother was driving  her all around San Francisco and the South Bay from one doctor’s office to the next.

At the Napa Medical Research Foundation, we recognize the need for improved methodologies in the treatment of injuries like tears of the meniscus, and other common orthopedic conditions. Our goal is to discover less invasive treatments that are equally, if not more, effective and to ensure these advancements are more broadly known throughout the medical community.
