Stories play an integral part in the quality improvement work that we do. Sharing each others' successes, spreading knowledge and telling people's stories brings the work we do to life. Below are the top five most viewed stories of the year.



As Administrator for Jefferson County Nursing Home in Dandridge, Tenn., Roger Mynatt was deeply considering the quality of care his facility provides to its residents, prompted by his decision to sign up for the atom Alliance nursing home collaborative.



Stephanie Sauer, assistant director of nursing at NHC in McMinnville, Tenn., believes the answer to reducing antipsychotic medication in nursing homes may be "consistent assignment," the practice of ensuring residents - particularly those with dementia - are assigned the same caregivers on a regular basis. 



Unity Physician Partners and Centerstone Health Partners share the belief that a person's mind and body are not separate. What affects one, affects the other.  This philosophy led them to create a partnership focused on providing care for medically underserved patients with physical and behavioral needs.

Bill Gossard shares the story of  his wife,  Helen, who was over-prescribed and suffered from an adverse drug event (ADE). When more drugs are taken at the same time, the risk of adverse interactions and potentially devastating side effects increases.
