Basketball! Winter Youth League and 3v3 Tourney

Winter Youth Leagues: Individual recreational players in grades 1 - 8 and competitive teams in grades 4 - 8 are invited to register for Aurora's winter basketball league by Wednesday, Nov. 1. A coaches clinic and pre-season players clinic are also open for registration.

3v3 Tourney: Team registrations for the Aurora Classic 3v3 tournament are due by Friday, Nov. 17. The one-day tournament will be Saturday, Nov. 25 beginning at 8 a.m. at the Moorhead Recreation Center. Cost is $45 per team with three games guaranteed. Two age divisions are available; 12 - 15 years and 16 years and older. Call 303.326.8700 or visit the Moorhead Recreation Center to register.


Buffalo Bill Visits the Plains Conservation Center
 
Gather around a campfire, enjoy hot cocoa and s'mores and listen to Buffalo Bill "himself" share engaging stories about his journey through history Friday, Nov. 10, 5:30 - 7 p.m. at the Plains Conservation Center.
 
All ages are welcome, but the program is most appropriate for those 7 years and older. Registration is required and costs $15 per person. Call 303.326.8380 with any questions.
Therapeutic Gymnastics Programs Start Nov. 8

Parent-Tot Gymnastics (registration #248254) is for kids ages 3-5 years and their parents. Classes meet on Wednesdays, Nov. 8-Dec. 6, 4 - 4:45 p.m. at the Meadowood Recreation Center and increase coordination and motor skills in a sensory-friendly environment.

Monkey Business Gymnastics (registration #248253) introduces 6-8 year olds to the basics of gymnastics to improve their movement skills, strength and coordination in a sensory-friendly environment. Classes meet on Wednesdays, Nov. 8-Dec. 6, 4 - 4:45 p.m. at the Meadowood Recreation Center.

Volunteers Needed for 2017 Holiday Tree Lighting

Enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season while lending a helping hand! This annual event will feature seasonal treats, live musical performances, roaming entertainment, a beautiful outdoor lights display and a visit from a very special guest from the North Pole!
 
Volunteers are needed to dress as festive holiday characters, provide customer service, assist with crafts and support the visit from Santa Claus on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at the Aurora Municipal Center. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old.
