I want to share a story with you of how HOPE is reborn

here at Children First.

David came to us as a teenage boy struggling with the issues that

often come with being in middle school.

He only saw the negative things in life.

With the help of his counselor, his outlook and thought

patterns began to change.

After much progress, his counselor asked,

"How has counseling helped you?"

He responded by laying out this wonderfully optimistic

and hope-filled sand tray.

The happiness he is moving toward is referenced by the sun and rainbow at the end of the fence lined pathway. He is now on the right path!

As with David, counselors here at Children First help children of all ages discover HOPE in the midst of their challenges.

Considering that approximately 75% have been abused, neglected, or have experienced family violence, the challenges they face are extremely difficult.

We cannot do this important work, without the
