Year-End Giving

As we prepare to celebrate the holidays, share gifts and welcome 2017, we invite you to consider giving a gift to the Community Impact Fund.

The reach of the CFOV Community Impact Fund is wide and spans our eight county service area.  The interest in our Community Impact Fund is growing and tells us Ohio Valley organizations are working hard to bring problem solving ideas to life.  These ideas are connected to a wide variety of issues and include economic development, children and youth, education, public safety and community improvement.

There's a good chance you feel strongly about one of those issues and making a gift to the Community Impact Fund is a great way to be part of positive change.

You can make your gift online by visiting www.cfov.org  or by stopping by the CFOV office (1310 Market St., Wheeling).

Your contribution, your involvement and your support will make a meaningful and measurable difference.
2017 Scholarship Applications Now Available

Did you know CFOV manages more than 60 scholarship funds?

We are a proud scholarship provider and our

Civic Leaders Fellowship Program
Program Encourages Emerging Young Professionals to Consider Opportunities in the Ohio Valley

The Civic Leaders Fellowship Program will return for a fifth year.  This leadership initiative, hosted by CFOV and supported by a number of sponsors, provides paid internship experiences, professional development and exposure to the area's merits.

The program is playing an important role in ongoing retention efforts.

Students are selected through an application process and then matched with a host site that reflects their academic or career interests.

Host organizations also submit an application and are carefully chosen in an effort to provide the most beneficial experience to all involved.  Salaries are funded through CFOV, so there is no cost for an organization to host an intern.

This is a great opportunity for students and hosts alike!

The application period for both students and host sites will open Monday, December 19.  More information about the program, and access to the application links, can be found by visiting here.

2016 Civic Leaders took a trip to Marshall County to learn about tourism and economic development. They experienced an attraction firsthand and were able to "Escape the Pen".

Donor Appreciation Luncheon
We celebrated Community Foundation Week (November 12-18) with a Donor Appreciation Luncheon! Friends and supporters of CFOV gathered to hear a meaningful message from Susan Turnbull who spoke about the importance of personalizing legacy. Special thanks to Huntington National Bank for sponsoring this wonderful afternoon of thanksgiving.
