November Erie Echo Newsletter Now Online
Copies are also in the mail.

The latest issue of People for Life's Erie Echo newsletter is available to download in PDF format. This issue contains the results of a survey of local candidates for public office that was conducted prior to the May Primary. It is updated with the responses from two candidates who were not on the ballot in the primary: Tim Kuzma, who is running for a spot on the Erie school board, and Jerry Villella, who is running for Erie's 6th Ward district judge seat. Both candidates returned pro-life responses to our questionnaire.

This issue also contains information about the statewide judicial candidates and preliminary information about the upcoming Pro-Life Breakfast, Washington, DC March for Life Bus Trip, and Erie March for Life.

This past weekend, we prepared printed copies of the newsletter for mailing with the help of volunteers from Cathedral Prep and Mercyhurst Prep. A number of regular People for Life  volunteers helped as well.

Thanks to everyone who pitched in, 5,700 newsletters went in mail first thing this morning, well ahead of Election Day, Tuesday, November 7!

Most of the newsletters will be processed right here in Erie and be in local mailboxes  tomorrow morning. A few zip codes will be processed in Pittsburgh, however, and will be delayed by a day or two.

40th Annual Pro-Life Breakfast: 75 Only Days Away

Ann speaking at the National Right to Life Convention earlier this year
Ann McElhinney speaking last summer at the NRL Convention
You won't want to miss Special Guest Speaker Ann McElhinney at People for Life's milestone 40th Anniversary Pro-Life Breakfast on January 13, 2018.

The Breakfast is just 75 days away, and online registration is now open. Just follow this link to register.

It isn't every year that we host a speaker who is both a movie producer/director and best-selling author. This Pro-Life Breakfast just might be a sellout!

Political commentator Mark Steyn interviewed Ann and her husband Phelim McAlleer earlier this year just after the release of their book about Kermit Gosnell. Gosnell is the "house of horrors" abortionist from Philadelphia who is serving a life sentence for the first-degree murder of three babies who were born alive during third-trimester abortions. The entire  interview can be seen on YouTube (strongly recommended!). Ann and Phelim tell about the investigation, arrest, trial, and conviction of Dr. Gosnell. They also share their views on the politics surrounding abortion, media bias, and the need for redoubled educational efforts to reach an uninformed American public.
"Pork and Sauerkraut for Life!"

People for Life recently received some great news! Our organization has been chosen to receive a share of the proceeds from the annual St. Boniface Church Pork and Sauerkraut Dinner, to be held on November 5, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. St. Boniface has a tradition of donating a "tithe," or 10%, of the receipts from the Dinner to a local non-profit.

St. Boniface Church is located at 9367 Wattsburg Rd., just a few miles south of I-90. Enjoy a family-style Pork and Sauerkraut dinner with all the fixin's and homemade desserts, and help support pro-life educational work right here in the Erie area.

Please help us spread the word about this event and the generous offer from St. Boniface Church. People for Life will receive $1 for each dinner served!
