VMEA Honors Choir - Congrats!  - t he following seniors were selected for the VMEA Honors Choir.  These students auditioned this past Saturday at Longwood University.  This is a highly competitive audition with nearly 600 seniors from all over the state.  They will be rehearsing and performing at the State Music Conference on November 16 - 18. 
 
   Sophia Song - Soprano 1 (3rd Place)
   Caroline Galbreath - Soprano 2
   Audrey Monserrate - Alto 1 (3rd Place)
   Cori Trosch - Alto 2
   Sean Lewis - Tenor 2 (1st Place)
   Bryan Bedell - Bass 1

         Madrigals.  (Please return  rental form w/ check .)
   
District XII Honors Choir Auditions  - Will be held at HB Woodlawn Secondary in Arlington on 11/4.
Students have signed up to audition and time blocks will be assigned for those without conflicts.  Please return the audition form and cash or check for $7 payable to LHS Choral Guild as soon as possible.
 
Volunteers needed  - Dr. Lambert will be out of town that weekend so we need chaperones.  They will be there with emergency care forms in case of an emergency, and may be asked to help out with the auditions.  Please email Doc directly if you could help out for a few hours in this capacity,  [email protected].
 
Madrigals - Extra Rehearsals -  Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM

SAT Fundraiser  - Congrats to Denys King for the free SAT course, and Maxine Bol for the tutoring!  Many thanks to Georgetown Learning Center for the prizes.

Spring Trip Update - NYC  Deposit by Wed., 10/25!
   * Flier - send the first payment in, LHS, $200 Non-refundable deposit for each student and chaperone participating in the trip by Wed., 10/25.  Checks made out to Langley High School.  
  * Register students and chaperones online - All students and chaperones should register for the trip for an accurate hotel room headcount. Questions:  contact Kathleen Harris ( [email protected] ).

Publicity Chair so that we can increase our ticket sales.  Kitchen Manager for the second night of the production, Sat., 12/2. Many other positions still remain open from production management to decorations, costumes, food, dressing room support and so much more.

Renaisance Feaste TicketsWe are now taking reservations for the annual Renaissance Feaste!  There are two performances--December 1 and December 2--both at 7:00 pm in Langley Hall.  Order your tickets now to ensure you have a seat at this festive holiday event!  Questions:  contact Kathleen Harris ( [email protected] )

Needed for Renaissance Feaste: 
- Artificial Trees & Wreathes -  Requesting LOANER  artificial Christmas trees (any size) and large artificial wreathes for the week of Nov. 28-Dec. 4. While we'd love tree and wreath donations, we don't have adequate long-term storage space for them.

- Tree Stands (preferably cast iron)  - Requesting DONATIONS of heavy, preferably cast iron, tree stands. Specs: - 15 lbs min  - 14" square or round min. Don't have a tree stand to donate? Patio umbrella bases will work too, so please consider donating one if you can. Stands are small, so they fit into our storage room.
