Taking stock of the year that is ending is a traditional ritual.  For the Pacific Mesothelioma Center (PMC) at The Pacific Heart, Lung & Blood Institute (PHLBI), it's about the incredible lives that have touched us, people from all parts of the world and professions, and life stories.   We think of the progress we have made in our research laboratory and the innovative ideas generated by our researchers.  We remember the fundraisers where we've shared so much more than an event.  And we remember those who are struggling in their fight against mesothelioma as well as their families   Read more 

Join Us for the Annual PMC Holiday Open House TOMORROW December 14th from 12-7 pm!

Over 260 people attended the Mid-Century Soiree and Communal Wine Dinner at Le Petit Paris on March 24th.  

Proceeds from the sale of the Frank Worth photographs benefited the Pacific Mesothelioma Center.  See more photos from the soiree here.

The Pacific Mesothelioma Center threw a Mad Hatter  Tea   Party   April 23rd, 2016  at the SLS Hotel, Beverly Hills in honor of our donors.  

The event was a fun affair with tea , a hat competition, opportunity drawings, and musical entertainment.  View more photos here.

This year PMC began offering monthly caregiver support group meetings.  The support group  led by PMC Nurse Practitioner Lien Hua-Feng and Sonia Jarvis-Bayek was created to give caregivers of mesothelioma patients an

outlet to ask questions, share stories, and release difficult emotions For more information

The 5th anniversary of the 5K Walk for Mesothelioma was held October 23rd at The Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills. Over 350 attendees  walked to raise awareness for mesothelioma and to help raise funds for research.  Thanks to everyone's tireless work $122,000 was raised for mesothelioma research!
