Yearbook Sun Art Drawing and Contest
Deadline is Wednesday, November 23, 2016 to school office

Would your child like to see her/his art in the yearbook?  If so, have them draw and color their very best "SUN" in the designated square on the special yearbook paper that was sent home on Monday, November 14th. Then, have them return their sun artwork to the main office by November 23rd for it to be included in the 2016-2017 yearbook. Please be sure the child's name and teacher are on the paper. Have fun drawing!
Last Day of Schoolwide Pet Food Drive is Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016
Our collection of Pet Food is going on now and will run through Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016.

Remember to bring donations to your classrooms.

We want to collect as much dog and cat food as possible. Student Council voted on an Ice Cream Sundae Party for the classroom that donates the most food (based on weight).  Student Council members will collect donations, weigh them, and keep track of each classroom's total donations.

Student Council members are currently working on posters to promote this community service project.  According to the Seattle Humane Society "they always need wet and dry pet food. Cat food is a slightly higher priority than dog food simply because most donors think of dogs when they think of a shelter."

Please note: Humane Society is currently NOT accepting donations of Beneful products due to current litigation pending over the safety of these products.

2016-17 Arts, Enrichment & Innovation Grants from Bellevue Schools Foundation Awarded!
We are delighted to announce that this year Puesta received several awards that will benefit our children. BSF received 139 grant applications from many Bellevue Schools with requests that totaled more than $235,000. Ninety three (93) awards were made for a total of $85,000. This is your money at work! Puesta will receive this year several awards that will benefit our 3rd to 5th grade students. Among these are: several history learning opportunities (Our Revolution; Island of Hope; Klondike) and an author visit, together with other Bellevue Schools. Please watch every year for the opportunity to submit to these awards as a way to strengthen and enhance our children's education.
