I must be a mermaid. I have no fear of depths and a great fear of shallow living.

Winter 2016

Depth perception means your ability to compare distances between objects near you: in other words , how well you see in 3D. But how accurate is your social depth perception?

Here's a little trick to realign your perception if you find yourself comparing your life to others (at least how their lives seem to be based on social media): Look at what is right in front of you. See the good in that very moment. Appreciate it as uniquely yours.

This simple act of mindfulness can focus your perspective during what can be a challenging time of year. As 2016 closes, know that we appreciate all the goodness you have brought to our lives. Our very best to you and yours.

Want to test your depth perception on some fun movies this holiday season? Here are a few we think are worth catching in 3D:
  • Moana
  • Dr. Strange
  • Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

According to Lori Wizdo at Forrester Research, "Today's [B2B] buyers might be anywhere from two-thirds to 90% of the way through their journey before they reach out to a vendor."

"Everyone wants their cat to succeed." That's one example of the way "they" has become commonly used in place of the more grammatically correct, "his or her."

If you thought that cat sentence sounded just fine, you'll be relieved to know that 200 linguists from the American Dialect Society named "they," as their 2016 Word of the Year. The Society makes the case that this gender-neutral pronoun is more inclusive. Turns out this usage was common in the 16th century and, according to the Oxford Dictionary, is now widely accepted both in speech and in writing.

Helping Patients Hear

Picture of the Sophono device High Point Creative helped Medtronic develop key messaging for its SophonoTM bone-anchored hearing system for patient and audiologist audiences. Key messages and a brochure highlighted the unique design of the lowest profile implant on the market that eliminates the need for an abutment (post or screw).

Confidentially Speaking

Looking back on the year, we are awed by the range of content creation we've enjoyed. We learn so much with every project and that depth of knowledge emboldens us to take on the next exciting challenge -- even as we face another blank screen awaiting our ideas. Though most of what we do is confidential and cannot be shared in a soundbite here, we are truly thankful for every opportunity. Here's to more creative thrills in 2017.
