Ludington Center Dedication Links College, Community On Friday, October 14, the newly renovated Ludington Center was dedicated in front of a crowd of around 100 people. The restored building, located at 101 North Superior Street in downtown Albion, will serve as the cornerstone of a new future between the College and the community. The building was named in honor of Jack and Dorothy Ludington, both of whom were 1951 Albion graduates. The Distinguished and Young Alumni Awards, presented by the Albion College Alumni Association, offer an opportunity for the entire Briton community to reflect on the difference Albion graduates make in our world. The Distinguished Alumni Award honors alumni who have achieved a career of noteworthy accomplishment and/or those who have an outstanding record of service to Albion. Recipients of this prestigious award are distinguished leaders in his or her profession or life's work and are individuals of integrity, stature, demonstrated ability, who inspire faculty, staff, students and alumni. Career accomplishments, professional impact, significant publications and research, and service to the college will be considered when reviewing nominations. Make Your Nomination » Students Contribute to Liver Cancer Research Lawrence Schook, '72, heads a world-class cancer research lab that includes interventional radiologists, oncologists, mouse researchers and a host of other medical professionals. This summer, Schook's team also included Albion students Nickolas Kinachtchouk, '19, and Jordan Newson, '17, who found they could contribute to Schook's breakthrough approach to a cure for liver cancer.
