PASADENA, CA - 63 Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) educators will be receiving early holiday gifts this year at the Pasadena Educational Foundation (PEF) Teacher Grants reception on Tuesday, December 9 at 5PM, held at the Altadena Town & Country Club. Over $50,000 in grants will be awarded for the 2014-15 school year. The grants, awarded yearly, will benefit thousands of students in Altadena, Pasadena, and Sierra Madre.
This year PEF is offering two special awards, the Jarratt Brunson Memorial Award honoring one of the founders of PEF responsible for initiating the Teacher Grant Program, and the Kathy Onoye Principal's Leadership Award given in honor of the former PUSD Executive Director of Elementary Education who retired this spring. Grants are awarded to teachers in amounts up to $1,000.
The PEF Teacher Grants Program is made possible by Avery Dennison, Wells Fargo, Whole Foods Markets, and individual donor contributions to the Pasadena Educational Foundation.
Media are invited to cover the awards presentation and interview the teachers and presenters.
