Dear Friends,
Many of you know that each week when we rehearse, we spend a good amount of time drinking coffee, sharing conversation and touching base with one another. Our connections to one another serve as the foundation for the music we made and share. For Pam and Bob Ortiz, and fellow band members, Ford Schumann, Nevin Dawson and Philip Dutton, music and song have always been a way to build friendships and community, to express joy and hope, sorrow and sadness, love and loss, to affirm and to question.
Together we have decided to launch the coming year with a concert series that we're calling "Songs for Our Future." Each concert will raise funds to protect an important right or a vulnerable group of people. We'll perform at Robert Ortiz Studios in Chestertown along with special invited guests each month. We'll have a final concert in July at the Mainstay in Rock Hall. The flier below gives the details.
