Please note the information below in preparation for our  next Alumni General Membership Meeting:
General Membership Meeting
 
Our next Alumni General Membership meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 8, 2016, 6pm-7:30pm, in the McDonogh 35 Library, 4000 Cadillac Street, located on the first floor. Click here to see the meeting's agenda. Click on the report name to view the following reports that will be presented at the meeting: August Financial Secretary's Report and Membership Report; July Bank Balance; and May 2016, June 2016  and July 2016 Profit and Loss Statements. As always, please contact fellow Roneagles and either bring them with you or encourage them to attend and become an official paid member of the McDonogh 35 Alumni Association. 
First Day of School 
 
The first day of School was August 15. Several alumni members have since visited the school and found that students were in classes in active learning engagements. New at the school this year is the NAVY JROTC program. The purpose of the program is to instill in students the values of citizenship, service to the community, personal responsibility, responsiveness to authority and a sense of accomplishment.
McD35 Alumni Representatives Meeting with Supt. and OPSB Member  
 
Alumni Representatives met with Supt. Henderson Lewis, OPSB District 3 Representative (McD35 Representative), and Chief Network LEA Officer Nicolette London to discuss future plans and activities that involve the school's operations. Click here to see the agenda and notes from the meeting.

Mr. Troy Populous, theater instructor at McDonogh 35 is planning major theater production called CELEBRATION: "A DECADE OF DRAMA" scheduled for November 11-20. See the flyer below. Additional information coming soon!

 
 
Fundraisers   

Our future fundraisers are as follows:
 
Alumni Mixer Friday, September 2, 8pm - Midnight at The Regency, 7300 Downman Rd.(Corner of Morrison Rd.) Funds raised to support student resources.  See the flyer below for more information and to purchase tickets.

 
 

Centennial Celebration

The Centennial Celebration Committee is planning activities for McDonogh 35's 100th year celebration throughout the 2017-2018 school year.  Fundraisers and other activities are ongoing.  For more information or to participate on this committee please email  mcdonogh35alumniassociation@ yahoo.com.

McDonogh 35 2016 Football Schedule

It is that time again; McDonogh 35 Football Season! Click here to see the schedule. Our McDonogh 35 Tailgate and Class Reunion Celebration Game against St. Augustine is scheduled for Saturday, September 3, 7:00pm, at Tad Gormley Stadium.  We are the Home Team! Pre-sale tickets ($8.00) will be on sale at the school site on Friday, September 2, from 12:00 noon to 4pm.   


 
 
Purchase your season ticket card for all home games -$25 each*. Cards can be purchased online at www.mcdonogh35alumniassociation.org  or checks can be mailed to
P. O. Box 50306, New Orleans, LA 70150-0306. Deadline to purchase is Wednesday, August 31st.  Cards can be picked up at our Annual Membership Drive and Tailgate Party on September 3rd or our first General Membership meeting on Thursday, September 8th. All proceeds will be allocated to school support.

College and Career Day

College and Career Day at McDonogh 35 - Wednesday, September 21, 2016 We are looking for alumni who are willing to participate in speaking with the students about their careers.  Please email us at mcdonogh35alumniassociation@yahoo.com by August 31, 2016 if you are interested.

The Association's Fiscal Year is from October 1- September 30. You may now pay your 2016-17 Alumni Dues via PayPal. Yearly Membership dues are $35 and Lifetime Membership dues are $350. Lifetime Membership dues may also be paid in five $70 installment payments. Also when you pay please put your graduating year in the comment section   (and, if you are paying with your business account, your first & last name as well).  Please pay by clicking on the appropriate PayPal button below.

Lifetime Installment Payments- Five $70.00 payments undefined 
 
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS MUST BE PAID IN THE SAME FISCAL YEAR. IF INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS ARE NOT RECEIVED BY SEPT. 30, 2016,  THE PAYMENTS MADE, LESS 15-16, DUES WILL BE REALLOCATED TO SCHOLARSHIPS.
