The St. Charles Chamber of Commerce held its Annual Membership Breakfast on November 3rd
at St. Charles Country Club. More than 120 members enjoyed their breakfast as they waited eagerly to hear the winners of Rookie and Member of the Year Awards. These awards are a surprise and are given to individuals that have volunteered service to the Chamber and community in addition to their ordinary business throughout the year. Members learned 2016 successes, 2017 goals, and had the opportunity to sign up for committees. The Chamber again had table sponsors for this event and we would like to thank them for such a terrific job decorating the tables for this event.

The Member of the Year award was started in 2003 and is given to a person who displays an exceptional volunteer effort, enthusiasm and dedication to the Chamber over several years.

Marketing Luncheon
The X Factor: Putting it All Together
City Municipal Building
This luncheon wrapped up a series of wonderful Marketing luncheons the Chamber offered with different content covered at each of them including; branding, media options, getting more business form current customers and face book marketing. This last luncheon wrapped everything up and then created a road map for 2017 and the attendees created goals and discussed marketing challenges. Overall this topic was very informative and a great resource for all who attended!

Inland bank opened their doors for a great after hours mixer where Chamber Members were able to network while also entering in to prizes! They had wonderful food and snacks and we appreciate their hospitality and learning more about one of our community banks!

The City of St. Charles has two programs that offer the chance to give back this holiday season.
Giving Tree at the Municipal Building
The City's employee Wellness Team once again is coordinating a Giving Tree program for the holidays. This year, the program will benefit the local Elderday Center (
www.elderdaycenter.org
) and families in need from the St. Charles school district and the local Salvation Army (
http://salarmychicago.org/stcharles
).
To participate, simply select one or more tags from the Giving Tree in the lobby of the Municipal Building, purchase the item(s), and return the unwrapped gift(s) to the tree by Dec. 12. Items on the tags are at all price levels. The gifts will be wrapped and delivered in time for Christmas. Cash donations are welcome, too, and will be used to purchase items on tags not selected. Cash donations may be left with the City receptionist. For more information, contact the Human Resources Department at 630.377.4446.
Neighbors in Need
Neighbors in Need helps financially struggling St. Charles residents pay their City utility bills. Write the amount you would like to donate on the payment stub of your utility bill and add it to the amount of your payment. 100% of donations go directly to helping St. Charles residents.
