Dear Reader,
I spent some time on the Oregon coast last weekend. It was overcast, rainy, clear, and also beautiful and soothing. I hope everyone is finding ways to take care of themselves and each other. It's important.
Thanksgiving is next week! We have some adorable books for the kids all about the holiday so come and see.
Plaid Friday is in a week, it's the day after Thanksgiving and promotes shopping locally rather than at the big chains. The plaid stands for all the colors and stripes that make up our community and we're really happy to be part of it. Please come by, we'll have treats and we'll show you why it's a great thing to shop at an independent book store. Wait until you see the suggestions we have for the gift giving season!
Small Business Saturday is the next day and we have more fun in store. Please bring the kids from noon to 2 to meet folks from Know Yourself, a new Oakland publisher of really cool books for kids with science as the focus. See below for more details, but really, get the kids in here and you won't be sorry. Plus you can do some shopping while they are mesmerized.
