Tending the flock: Is retention the answer to enrollment declines?
The steady decline in enrollment at ATS schools-approximately 1.5 percent per year since 2006-is a phenomenon with which the Association and its 266 member schools are all too familiar. While 35 percent of schools are bucking the trend with rising enrollments, the majority are studying the declining numbers and exploring various strategies for counteracting them.
