Celebrate the season at Christmas Moonlight Magic_

Christmas Moonlight Magic

Start your holiday season with some Christmas Moonlight Magic

On Dec. 2, enjoy live entertainment, Christmas carols and the lighting of the Christmas tree in historic downtown Bowmanville. This magical night includes free horse-drawn wagon rides and local stores will remain open late for some evening holiday shopping.

Holiday carriage rides 

Take in the sights and sounds of downtown Port Perry during the holidays, with a magical horse-drawn carriage ride

Gather your sweetheart, the kids, or special visitors, and enjoy a favourite activity of the season. The gentle clip clop of horses' hooves and jingle of sleigh bells is sure to get you feeling warm and cozy!

Starting Dec. 3 to Dec. 17, rides will be offered on Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m., and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m.

Enjoy the magical Fantasy of Lights display in Uxbridge_

Fantasy of Lights 

The Uxbridge Club of Optimists is inviting residents to experience the ninth-annual Fantasy of Lights, taking place from Dec. 10, 2016 to Jan. 1, 2017

This spectacle of lights is free to attend, and will run nightly from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Walk or drive through the twinkling lights and enjoy the holiday cheer! 

There is no admission for this event, but donations are gratefully accepted and appreciated.

Enjoy the sounds of the season at Christmas at the Opera_
OSHAWA
Christmas at the Opera

The Ontario Philharmonic, under the direction of Marco Parisotto, will be performing 18 of your favourite holiday classics during Christmas at the Opera

Joined by talented Canadian tenor, Michael Ciufo, this magnificent evening of music will take place on Dec. 17 at 8 p.m., at UOIT's Regent Theatre. 

You won't want to miss this spirited holiday program!

World Juniors pre-competition game taking place in Oshawa_

World Junior Hockey

It's the most wonderful time of the year again for hockey enthusiasts- the World Juniors are taking place! 

On Dec. 21 at 7 p.m., a pre-competition game will be hosted in Oshawa, at the Tribute Communities Centre (formerly known as the General Motors Centre), between the USA and Switzerland.
