ASIPP Webinar on 2017 CPT Coding Changes

Navigating the Curves in 2017 Pain Management Documentation and Coding

Join ASIPP for this informative webinar that will be your GPS as 2017 ushers in coding and regulatory changes for pain management practices.   Some long standing codes will be changing so you do not want to miss this opportunity to understand the impact these changes may have on your practice. There has been a complete rewrite of the epidural injection codes, a mainstay of almost all pain practices. Understanding the new codes is crucial in being prepared for the possible effect on your bottom line and to maintain compliant billing for these procedures.

No webinar about pain management coding changes would be complete without a discussion of the urine drug testing codes. It is probably not a surprise to anyone that we have another change in CPT codes for UDTs in 2017. We may finally have some détente between CPT and CMS regarding proper reporting for undoubtedly the most scrutinized service performed by pain offices. Don't put your practice in the crosshairs by not remaining current on this ever changing element of medication management.

Sedation for pain procedures has long been under the microscope. The medical necessity for monitored anesthesia care versus moderate sedation for pain procedures has been the focus of almost all payer policies. For 2017, CPT has changed the moderate sedation codes and provided much more specific guidance on what elements must be performed to meet the requirements for billing these services. Tune into this webinar to learn how to clearly document and code moderate sedation as now described for 2017.

The speaker will also discuss new codes for physical therapy and endoscopic spinal decompression. Learn how assisting CMS in their focus on modifier 25 reporting and their analysis of services provided in global periods may require extra effort beginning in 2017. See if you are among those impacted by this requirement.   Be sure to join ASIPP and your peers for this educational session and walk away feeling confident that you and your pain practice can navigate the curves coming in 2017.
