The Temple of Understanding is an interfaith NGO with consultative status at the United Nations; the Temple of Understanding works on developing religious and cultural diversity, educating for global citizenship and sustainability, expanding public discourse on faith and ecology, and creating just and peaceful communities.

Now in its 12th year, 15 high school students completed our UN Summer Internship Program in July, a 5 week intensive course teaching global citizenship, interfaith education and exploring all aspects of the work of the United Nations. Congratulations to our Head Teacher, Amy Pacula, her two Youth Assistants and of course, the students.

We are pleased to announce that this year's Youth Assistants for the UN Summer program, Shravana Sidhu and Rachel McCave will also be attending The Fifth Annual President's Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge on September 9-11, 2015, in Washington, D.C. on behalf of the Temple of Understanding.

Look for two Temple of Understanding workshops at the Parliament of the World's Religions gathering in October in Salt Lake City.
