Remedial College Course Revamping

Ever considered partnering with Higher Ed to revamp the structure of remedial courses they offer?  Statistics show about 50% of students at 2-year colleges who need remedial coursework to prepare for credit level college courses will never finish.  Many of those students are students with disabilities, and many are under the age of 21.

"Postsecondary", a project supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, is working to address best practice in remedial postsecondary education.  This infographic and the other resources it points to provid e  food for thought for parent center partnerships.  We know a lot about what our families and students need in and beyond high school.  Are there remedial programs in your state or area you can partner with to increase student achievement and family success using these methods?
