Guess What The Big News is this Month - The Eclipse!
From a live interview for Busted Halo on Sirius XM to a TIME Magazine article to a football stadium at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, the Vatican Observatory was very busy with the Great American Eclipse.

Catholic News Service wrote about Br. Guy's visit to Kentucky while Fr. Paul Mueller contributed to an article about how even Popes can get spooked by an eclipse.

Be sure to read the fascinating Catholic Astronomer Blog articles about all our Eclipse experiences. Take a look at some of the photos we gathered, too.
Totality Composite by Claudio Costa, a Vatican Observatory docent in Castel Gandolfo, taken in Casper, Wyoming.
Faith and Astronomy Workshop Alum, Rosemarie Spedaliere, who lives in Bayville, New Jersey, prepares her telescope in Perryville, Missouri.
Fr. James Kurzynski, Catholic Astronomer Blogger, and his parishioners in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
VO astronomers Fathers Chris Corbally and Paul Gabor were in Atchison, Kansas. Fr Chris said, “Regular light rain at Benedictine College Atchison , but the clouds thinned to show us both diamond rings, and Tommy (Tommy Wicklind of Catholic University of America) took this picture after egress. The students cheered as darkness fell on the football field. They loved it!”

Join to share your stories, too!
We’ve gathered on this web site a selection of hundreds of articles, videos, and audio files on the topic of Faith and Science, for the use of Catholic educators and educated Catholics, produced by members of the Vatican Observatory with the support of the Vatican Observatory Foundation.
