Description: The Hagerstown Junior Chamber of Commerce hired a Lancaster, Pennsylvania based film company to produce a film entitled "See Yourself And Your Town In The Movies," in early spring 1941. The videographers ventured all over Hagerstown and parts of Washington County, filming as many people and scenes as they could squeeze into a two-hour motion picture. The resulting movie documented life in Hagerstown and Washington County on the eve of World War II featuring hundreds of local citizens and dozens of churches, schools, factories, and street scenes.

The Potomac Playmakers Announce the latest show of the 2017-2018 Season, Arthur Miller's classic drama, All My Sons! During World War II, Joe Keller and Herbert Deever ran a machine shop that made airplane parts. Deever was sent to prison because the plant turned out defective parts, causing the deaths of twenty-one pilots. Keller went free and made a lot of money. The twin shadows of this catastrophe and the fact that the Kellers' youngest son was reported missing in action dominate the action of the play. The love affair of Chris Keller and Ann Deever, the bitterness of George Deever returned from the war to find his father in prison and his father's partner free, are all set in a structure of almost unbearable power. The climax showing the reaction of a son to a guilty father is a fitting conclusion to a play electrifying in its intensity! Produced under special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc. and directed by Cathy James, All My Sons stars Richard Dobson, April Fox, Christine Miller-Grable, Barry Harbaugh, Jeff Marcum, Mandy Matvia, Danielle Popp, Nic Sigman, and Jim Zuna .
All My Sons will run from November 10, 11, 17, 18, and 19, 2017 at The Women's Club, located at 31 S. Prospect Street, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740. Showtime is at 8:00 pm for the Friday and Saturday performances, while the Sunday matinee performance of All My Sons will be at 3:00 pm. Discounted advance tickets of $11 are available ONLINE ONLY at www.potomacplaymakers.org, while $13 tickets will be available at the door.
