Yoga is the lifelong study of the small, individual self, and the broader self that inspires us to appreciate the little things, take the big and broad perspective, and choose to live with deep integrity and love. 

Like good writing, yoga uses description and metaphor to reveal submerged parts of our identities. Integrating yoga with writing can illuminate pathways to feelings, memories, images and stories embedded within our tissues and help us reflect, heal, and build community. 

In this highly experiential workshop, poet and yoga teacher Yael Flusberg will lead us through a Gratitude practice that will allow us to explore gratitude on the physical level through breathwork and poses; on the mental level through mindfulness techniques; and on psycho-spiritual level through writing exercises. Bring your favorite notebook and pen!

Prenatal/Postnatal Workshop
for all Mothers

Join us for this special Postnatal Yoga Workshop and learn how this beneficial practice can support you physically, mentally and emotionally after your baby's birth (The fourth trimester). 

This practice has been especially designed for mothers in the postpartum period, honoring their specific needs and the needs of their babies. The yoga poses will support the body's recovery after birth- strengthening and stretching in safe and appropriate ways. Pregnant women are welcome to attend to learn more about this beneficial practice. Babies (up to crawling stage) are also welcome to join!*

Join Denyse LeFever to find your inner calm with some restorative and gentle yoga. Natural lavender scent, from plants grown at the pesticide free White Oak Lavender Farm in Harrisonburg, Virginia, will be introduced as a complement to enhance relaxation during a yoga class incorporating gentle, restorative, and meditative yoga practices. No yoga experience is necessary.

Give yourself permission to relax away stress using essential oils and mindfulness. When we perceive threats or let our perceptions or negative thoughts take over, our bodies go into elevated stress response which can impair our judgement, impact our interactions with others, and take a toll or our mental, physical and emotional health. This 3-hour educational workshop is aimed at teaching participants how to incorporate essential oils to enhance their current mindfulness practice, to help manage stress, support brain activity and function, and increase emotional wellness.

Narkia M. Ritchie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 10 years of experience helping clients manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, and relationships. She has a deep love for mindfulness and meditation practices, and enjoys incorporating essential oils into these practices with her clients, personally, and with her family.
 
Marcia Friaca is a Holistic Master Aesthetician and Aromatouch Trainer. Marcia has been treating problem skin for over 16 years. She has been trained to work on a medical and holistic environment. Five years ago, Marcia found a passion for educating and empowering others to better living with essential oils. Her goal is to provide others with safe and effective natural solutions in the home.
